This vintage hand blown glass bowl has a ruffled edge and is in the Millefiore style, with flower and star designs against a transparent aqua blue color. I can see air bubbles, indicating it is blown glass. I have identified this as made by Fucina Del Vetro M.F. Murano Venezia. Research says this dates to the 1960's. It measures appx. 10-1/2" in diameter x 4-3/4" high. The base is appx. 6-1/4 inches. Millefiore decorative glass is made by fusing multicolored glass canes together, cutting them crosswise, joining them into new groups, embedding the groups in transparent glass, and blowing the resultant mass into a desired shape. It is a centuries old technique. In Italian Millefiore means "thousand flowers". The bowl is in very good condition. Check photos closely for condition. There are no cracks or chips. The light shines through beautifully!
